Abstract: ADCP is increasingly used to document river flow characteristics besides the discharge measurements originally targeted by the instrument developers. The paper presents a new post-processing and visualization software developed at IIHR-Hydroscience & Engineering that complements the capabilities of the existing commercial software. The software enhances the use of data output obtained with conventional ADCPs by providing important hydraulic quantities for characterization of flows in rivers in graphical and numerical formats.
