Abstract: To clarify processes occurring on river beds during floods, we introduce results from a field campaign designed to measure near bed flow characteristics and sediment transport. Flow characteristics were evaluated using pressure measurements. The cobble shaped hydrophone system was also placed near the pressure measuring cobble. Results obtained from hydrophones and their relationship to pressure measurements will be discussed during our presentation.
