Abstract: A numeric model to simulate Yongding flood detention system is presented in the paper. The model simulates flood evolution coupling with flow under gates and sediment transportation. Calculation results for flow patterns, changes of water level in reservoirs and discharge of gates is useful for designing and operation of Yongding flood detention system.
