IAHR Research Agenda "BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN RESEARCH AND APPLICATION"

All IAHR members will receive a free copy of the second edition of the IAHR Research Agenda with the mailing of the next Journal at the beginning of June. Following the last San Francisco Congress, IAHR is set to sign a collaboration agreement with officials from the new ASCE "Wet" Institute. So all are invited to come along to Graz to renew the San Francisco spirit.

The maritime hydraulics section is hoping to organise an additional workshop during the Graz Conference on the interesting topic of integrating coastal zone management with river basin management.

EU-Sponsored Research and Development projects at Danish Hydraulic Institute

IAHR Corporate member Danish Hydraulics is preparing an application for funding under the EU Fifth Framework Programme to "enhance access to research infrastructures". Delft3D Newsletter to be issued this month

The first newsletter of Delft3D, the modelling framework of WL|Delft Hydraulics, will be published this month. The newsletter will provide current and future users with new and coming-up developments, user experiences, schedules of new releases, training and courses. The newsletter will be issued by mail, e-mail and will be published on the homepage http://www.wldelft.nl/d3d. For more information on Delft3D please contact the product manager dr. The next release of Delft3D is scheduled for June next. The first user conference will be held in October this year; for early registration a flyer is included in the newsletter.

Fellowship Programme of the African Development bank and the Government of Japan

This programme offers 10 scholarships for a Masters level postgraduate study programme, and is open to nationals from regional member countries of the AfDB who are under 40 years old and possess a degree and a minimum of two years experience in a development-related field which could include the following fields: public health, agriculture and related sciences, engineering, education, and other development-related fields such as environmental studies.
