Dear Sir and
Madam of the River-List
My name is
Benedetta Rocco and I am an Environmental and Land Protection Engineer (MSc).
graduated from the Polytechnic of Milan, Italy in June 99.
I'm presently
working in the Secretariat of IAHR, responsible of managing the Journal of
Hydraulics Research; the job I’m doing is much more related with
organisation and managing contacts than technical but is providing me with an
invaluable experience in an other country and enabling me to improve my English
(I'm already fluent in French). My contract here is due to end in March and I'm
now looking for a more technical job.
What I'm
looking for is a temporary (say six months/one year but no limits in principle)
job/internship in order to enlarge my experience and improve my knowledge; any
field related with Hydraulics, Water and Land Protection would suit, both within
research or consulting firms. I'm very interested in hydraulics modelling. I
have no problem of course to travel and to do field work.
I' m willing
to work hard and learn and any help to find something would be much
appreciated.
I'm enclosing
my CV, as you can see I did my master thesis at the well-know ENEL-Hydraulic and
Structural Research Centre, developing an innovative use of tetrapods for river
protection works: therefore, my experience till now is in Fluvial Engineering,
but my university background covers also Hydrology, Geotechnical and Maritime
Engineering.
Looking
forward to hearing from you and a good advice is always welcome.
Sincerely,
yours
Benedetta
Rocco
