I have prepared a general summary for university students, high-school students, lecturers, teachers, engineers at : http://www.uq.edu.au/~e2hchans/e2320.html#Surge and bores The Internet link includes informatin on famous tidal bores include the Hangchow (or Hangzhou) bore on the Qiantang river (China), the Amazon bore called pororoca, the tidal bore on the Seine river (mascaret), the Hoogly (or Hooghly) bore on the Gange, the bore on the Mekong river, as well as on smaller tidal bores as the Severn bore near Bristol, the tidal bores on the Garonne and Dordogne rivers, and the bores at Bay of Fundy (Canada). Your comments and suggestions on the site would be most welcome. I am looking for further information on the followings : - the tidal bore on the Mekong river (information, photographs, video), - the tidal bore on the Ganges river, India (information, photographs, video), - the tidal bore on the Brhamaputra river, Bangladesh (information, photographs, video), - historical pictures of the Seine river tidal bore (mascaret), and - any photograph and video of interesting tidal bores.
