Scope of the Journal

The Journal contains scientific and technical material of broader interest in the areas of theoretical, experimental and computational hydraulics and fluid mechanics in various fields of application (rivers, coasts, environment, structures, industrial flows etc.) This may also include results of field studies and interdisciplinary studies. Also included is publication of state-of-the-art papers and information which is suitable for the end-user (design and consultancy). The scope of the Journal covers the fields in which IAHR is active.

On submitting papers authors must give the assurance that the paper has neither been sent for publication in nor has been published in another Journal. For detailed instructions see Authors Instructions and Instructions for type setting using a diskette

General Information

The Journal of Hydraulic Research is published in six issues per year, as part of their membership subscription together with the IAHR Newsletter. The Non-member annual subscription fee is EURO 320,- for 2003. Individual issues may be bought at EURO 60,-. For more information on ordering contact the IAHR secretariat

JHR is a peer-reviewed scientific Journal with a high citation index ranking. All papers are reviewed by at least two members of the Editorial board. The Journal is cited in all the leading Abstracts Database Journals.
