Flow regime classification for barged sediments disposal

roposed to classify flow regimes of sediment clouds due to open water barge disposal for engineering
assessment. Due to the large and finite amount of sediments typically carried by a barge, the model considers that the
sediments will initially descend as a sediment plume, then transit to a discrete sediment cloud when they are fully
discharged. The model also considers that due to the large length-to-width ratio, the disposed sediment plume/thermal
should behave predominantly two-dimensionally (2D) with transverse entrainment before transiting to three-dimensionally
(3D) with axisymmetric entrainment. Good agreement is shown between the model predictions and experimental data.Form Required :
