IAHR, founded in 1935, is a worldwide independent member-based organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application. Activities range from river and maritime hydraulics to water resources development and eco-hydraulics, through to ice engineering, hydroinformatics, and hydraulic machinery.

Climate change is an inevitable phenomenon that is happening worldwide which have the potential to significantly influence water resources systems. A climate-based water resources decision-making framework can help to effectively manage the complexity of water resources while adapting to climate change effects. This paper suggests Robust Decision making (RDM) framework that provides a quantitative methods for implementing iterative risk management in water resources and used to identify robust strategies (Lempert et al. 2003).
