The Analysis on the Impact of Channel Improvement of Tongguan to Dayudu Reach on River Regime Change

The impact of channel improvement of tongguan to dayudu reach on river regime change is studied by means of physical model experiments. The study on the river regime change before and after the channel improvement is based on the experiments of 1987~1989 series with specific operation of Sanmenxia Reservoir. The result shows that: after built out river regulation works, the scouring action of the channel is enhanced and the elevation of Tongguan reduces 0.08m; the river regime change is in accord with the current situation except several local spot.
