IAHR, founded in 1935, is a worldwide independent member-based organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application. Activities range from river and maritime hydraulics to water resources development and eco-hydraulics, through to ice engineering, hydroinformatics, and hydraulic machinery.

Preliminary Water Quality Modeling on Dan Reservoir

This study applies a water quality model Lake2K on the Dan Reservoir in Central China. The Dan Reservoir is part of the Danjiangkou Reservoir, which is the head water of South-to-North Water Diversion Middle Route Project. After calibrated for diffusivity, the model prediction on temperature matches well with the long-term average temperature data. This preliminary study sets up a modeling framework, which can be further improved when more data is available.
