One Dimensional Nonuniform Sediment Transport Model: Application to Ganjiang River

A one dimensional nonuniform sediment transport model has been developed to predict the aggradation and degradation of riverbed based on unsteady St. Venant equations and total-load nonuniform sediment transport equations. The Preissmann implicit four- point finite difference scheme is used for St. Venant equations and semi-analysis scheme is used for sediment transport model. The sediment transport of Ganjiang River is simulated. The model has been verified by field measurements and used for calculating the sediment deposition downstream of Shihutang dam.
