Assessment Study on the Waterway Regulation Technology of Jiepai Reach in Middle Yangtze River

Combined with the analysis on the features of hydrology and sediment in Jiepai reach, evolution characters of river bed before and after implementation of the engineering, navigation obstacle character, factors affecting the evolution and the trend of evolution as well as the changing rules of shoal characteristics of the reach after implemented engineering, it is discussed herein about the effect of the constructed project including regulation timing, regulation concept, engineering layout and regulation effect, etc., in order to find out the existed problems and clarify the ideas and methods for the subsequent regulation of waterways. It is also analyzed herein of the regulation timing for subsequent projects and the channel regulation ideas and methods are summarized.
