Research on the Characteristics of Vortex Field of Breakwaters By PIV technique

A submerged breakwater is more prone to be damaged due to the complex turbulent flow field around it. Based on model test, the velocity distribution in the flow field around various submerged breakwaters under the action of regular waves has been obtained by using PIV technique. By analyzing the experimental velocity data under different hydraulic conditions, the vortex field characteristics around various breakwaters were quantitatively studied.
