There was a long freezing period and large ice thickness in cold region lakes. With freezing process, the nutrients are discharged from ice to water, and concentrated in the water layer. Banding with next year?s melting process, nitrogen and phosphorus will be migration and transformation up-layer again, and then back to the water body of the whole lake. Thus, the freezing and thawing process, due to the ice medium, will have an essential impact to lake substances migration and transforming and water environmental succession.
