Lecturer in Computational Hydraulics, Newcastle University, UK
The School seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Computational Hydraulics, for a start date as soon as possible. Outstanding academics from all areas of science- or engineering-oriented hydraulics or hydrology will be considered, although we particularly welcome applicants with expertise in flood modelling or management, catchment and urban water management, water quality and sediment transport, adaptation to climate change and coastal engineering who will complement our existing strengths (see http://www.ncl.ac.uk/ceg/research/water).

You will collaborate with other researchers in Newcastle, for example in interdisciplinary work in climate resilience, critical infrastructure, Big Data, urban natural hazards and remote sensing. You will contribute to teaching in modules on our undergraduate and MSc programmes.

For further details and informal enquiries please contact Professor Chris Kilsby on +44 191 208 5614, or e-mail: chris.kilsby@ncl.ac.uk.

This post is available full time and is open-ended. Appointment will always be made on merit

The School holds a bronze Athena SWAN award in addition to the University's Silver Athena SWAN award in recognition of our good employment practices for the advancement of gender equality, and the University holds the HR Excellence in Research award for our work to support the career development of our researchers.  We are also a member of the Euraxess network.
