IAHR, founded in 1935, is a worldwide independent member-based organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application. Activities range from river and maritime hydraulics to water resources development and eco-hydraulics, through to ice engineering, hydroinformatics, and hydraulic machinery.

Assistant Professor in International Ocean Governance and Law, University of Rhode Island, US
QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have a PhD in Political Science, Marine Affairs, Environmental Policy, Public Policy, Geography or closely-related field by appointment date in August 2017.  We seek highly qualified candidates with specialization in international ocean governance, international institutions, and/or international marine/environmental law & policy.  Successful candidates will provide evidence of ability to develop and instruct undergraduate and graduate courses; develop an independently funded research program; publish and present at national and international meetings; and work with members of diverse and underrepresented groups.
