IAHR, founded in 1935, is a worldwide independent member-based organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application. Activities range from river and maritime hydraulics to water resources development and eco-hydraulics, through to ice engineering, hydroinformatics, and hydraulic machinery.

Sr. Water Resources Engineer, Columbus, Ohio, USA
completion of studies and planning documents related to various stormwater and floodplain management projects. This individual is expected to have a strong background in the application of a wide variety of models applied to these projects, including steady and unsteady state hydraulic/hydrologic modeling, as well as related GIS-based applications. The Sr. Water Resources Engineer will take the lead on floodplain modeling and mapping efforts, watershed-scale analyses including the identification of problem areas and remedies, and the analysis and design of sustainable practices such as green infrastructure. Familiarity with local, state and federal regulations pertaining to water quality, floodplain management and dam safety is a key element of this position, as is the knowledge of drainage design criteria related to state/federal funded transportation projects.
