IAHR, founded in 1935, is a worldwide independent member-based organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application. Activities range from river and maritime hydraulics to water resources development and eco-hydraulics, through to ice engineering, hydroinformatics, and hydraulic machinery.

Research Fellow at the Centre for Water Systems, University of Exeter, UK
This post will focus on the experimental component of the new UK EPSRC project “Risk Assessment of Masonry Bridges under Flood Conditions”. The project aims to understand and characterize the hydrodynamic effects of debris blockage and scour through a combination of laboratory experiments and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modelling. Experience in designing and conducting experiments in a fluid mechanics laboratory would be an essential qualification for this position.Deadline for applications: 5 March 2015.
