Candidates must be self-starters who are comfortable working with a small team of dedicated engineers to rapidly advance technology and accelerate product commercialization. The work will be focused on hydrodynamic modeling and design of large scale wave energy converters. Candidate must have demonstrated experience in time-domain hydrodynamic modeling/analysis using tools such as Orcaflex, Proteus DS, WECSim, or their equivalents, and possess a strong understanding of the principles of fluid mechanics/hydrodynamics. Additional experience with code such as WAMIT, NEMOH or similar is highly beneficial, but not essential.
Prior work experience is desirable and preferred, but is not required for candidates with highly relevant academic experience. The successful candidate must be able to provide strong references from people who can vouch for his or her ability to succeed in a technical role.
