Research Assistant, Northumbria University, UK

Working in the Department of Architecture and Built Environment, you will work as a part-time Research Assistant to support the project, ‘Development of Incremental SI (Structure and Infill) Housing for Low-income Population in Malaysia’ which will be supported by Newton Fund Institutional Link Grant.

Unlike other housing research projects, this is an actual building project; we aim to construct affordable housing in Johor area in Malaysia, and you will have a chance to develop and apply theoretical ideas on ‘open building’ in the real world. Working within the international context, you can gain wider knowledge and experience on global construction and design market.

You must have an undergraduate or graduate level degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering, and be able to understand and draw architectural drawings by using 2D and 3D graphic software. You will have opportunities to collaborate with other experts in the building industry in the UK and Malaysia.
