IAHR, founded in 1935, is a worldwide independent member-based organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application. Activities range from river and maritime hydraulics to water resources development and eco-hydraulics, through to ice engineering, hydroinformatics, and hydraulic machinery.

Engineering Workshop Technician, UK

CEH are the leading UK organisation for long-term monitoring of the environment – measuring all aspects of the water cycle, soils, greenhouse gases, and ecology. We are seeking an experienced workshop technician to produce bespoke scientific research field and laboratory equipment in our Engineering Workshop, which services the needs of scientists across all four CEH sites (Wallingford; Lancaster; Bangor (North Wales) and Edinburgh). You will be part of an active research focused team based at our Wallingford site, developing leading-edge monitoring networks, survey equipment and experimental apparatus for a range of research projects.
