IAHR, founded in 1935, is a worldwide independent member-based organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application. Activities range from river and maritime hydraulics to water resources development and eco-hydraulics, through to ice engineering, hydroinformatics, and hydraulic machinery.

Professor/Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer/Lecturer (Civil Engineering), The University of KwaZulu - Natal (UKZN)
The University of KwaZulu–Natal (UKZN) is committed to Employment Equity with the intention to promote representivity within the Institution. The incumbent will be required to teach undergraduate and postgraduate students, develop independent research programmes, supervise research and undertake administration duties.

The successful candidate will be expected to complete a PhD within 5 years of date of assumption of duty.
