IAHR, founded in 1935, is a worldwide independent member-based organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application. Activities range from river and maritime hydraulics to water resources development and eco-hydraulics, through to ice engineering, hydroinformatics, and hydraulic machinery.

Faculty of Engineering and the Environment - Water & Environmental Engineering Group, University of Southampton
The group is multi-disciplinary including engineers and scientists with research interests in ecohydraulics, engineering hydrology, flood modelling, hydropower, water supply and wastewater engineering.
 
We are seeking to appoint an engineer in the area of civil engineering hydraulics, with a preference for specific expertise in fluid mechanics and sediment transport.
 
You will have a track record of obtaining external funding and delivering outputs commensurate with the post and be committed to developing a programme of original research that complements and extends the groups existing strengths. You will teach and supervise research projects at both undergraduate and post graduate levels.
