The Centre for Ecology and Hydrology (CEH), part of the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC), is the UK’s Centre of Excellence for research in the terrestrial and freshwater environmental sciences.
We are looking for a Student Coordinator for a full time (37 hours per week) fixed term appointment (until end May 2016, maternity cover), to be based within the Learning & Development Team which forms part of the People & Skills team, based at CEH Wallingford. This position may suit a recent PhD graduate or someone who has Human Resources or Learning and Development experience and is interested in making a significant contribution in a busy, friendly team environment.
As part of the Learning and Development team you will:
Support the relationship between PhD students and their supervisors.
Manage, develop and deliver the PhD Student Training Programme
Manage and Develop PhD Student policies and procedures and the CEH Postgraduate Studentship Handbook
Monitor student progress for the timely completion of PhD research theses
Represent early career researchers internally and externally
Contribute to the delivery of the CEH Learning and Development plan
