Senior Offshore and Metocean Engineer for Challenging Projects, DHI, UK
DHI UK is looking for an enthusiastic, sales minded and result oriented engineer to further expand our capacity and expertise in oceanography and hydraulic specialist consultancy and R&D for the future marine infrastructure and offshore energy market.
 
The core business areas are: 
 
Metocean modelling data and services (including impact of climate changes)
 
Offshore renewables (wind, wave and tidal)
 
Offshore oil and gas
 
Ports and terminals
 
Offshore, coastal and hydraulic structures
 
Qualifications:
 
MSc, Ph.D. or similar in offshore/coastal engineering or physical oceanography
 
Minimum 5 years' experience in metocean modelling and data analysis
 
Strong background in hydrodynamics and numerical modeling of ocean flow and waves
 
Experience within atmospheric modelling and air-sea interaction processes preferred
 
Good analytical skills and experience with advanced statistical methods
 
Competent in MATLAB
 
Experience on load/response modelling of fixed and floating bodies preferred
 
Personal skills: 
 
Self-motivated and able to work on your own and in a team
 
Innovative, proactive, curious and dedicated to obtaining results making a difference
 
Strong communication skill
 
Sales minded with management skills
 
Proficiency in English
