The Department of Civil Engineering at the American University of Sharjah (AUS) invites applications for one-year visiting positions at all ranks in the specialty areas of:
Water Resources Engineering
Visiting faculty normally teach three courses/sections per semester.
The candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and an earned doctorate in civil engineering. Teaching experience at a North American university is highly desirable. The selected candidates will join AUS in August 2016.
In order to ensure full consideration by the Search Committee, applicants should fill out an application form and upload the required documents (PDF) by November 30, 2015. The required documents are a cover letter and a detailed curriculum vitae (including a research statement, a teaching statement, and names of at least three references). In the cover letter, the applicants should indicate if they are able and willing to teach one or more courses outside their specialty area such as numerical methods, engineering economy, engineering statistics and introduction to engineering.
