The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Davis, invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the area of environmental engineering. Requirements include a doctoral degree in engineering or a related field and demonstrated success or potential for success in research and teaching.
The successful candidate will be expected to develop a significant independent research program in environmental engineering related to water reclamation and reuse. Areas of special interest include, but are not limited to, advanced and innovative biological treatment technologies; public health; recovery and beneficial use of energy and nutrients in wastewater; and biological and chemical contaminants of concern in water reuse. Candidates should have a strong background in the physical, chemical and biological fundamentals of water treatment with significant laboratory expertise in water quality. The candidate’s teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate and graduate courses and mentoring within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
