The Centre for Hydrographic Studies of CEDEX receives the Lorenzo Pardo 2023 Water Award

IAHR host institute the Centre for Hydrographic Studies of CEDEX receives the Lorenzo Pardo 2023 Water Award. The award recognizes the outstanding efforts made towards the preservation and sustainable use of water resources. 

The ceremony took place in Orihuela, Alicante (Spain) with the presence of the President of the region.

The Centre for Hydrographic Studies of CEDEX celebrates 90 years in charge of carrying out work in relation to the study of continental waters, to carry out its functions it has a staff of 70 people, dedicated to various lines of activity, related to water resources, floods and floods, hydrological planning, safety of hydraulic works, river hydraulics, water status and water technologies, for which it has such unique facilities as the Hydraulics Laboratory. 

From its origins, the Centre highlighted the value of adequate planning and the comprehensive nature of the use of water resources, anticipating the mechanisms for long-term sustainable water management.
