Abstract: This study presents a 3D and multiphase numerical simulation of flow field to investigate the effects of sediment on distribution of secondary current and velocity in the channels with bend. Firstly using ANSYS-CFX software, numerical simulation of flow field in 3phases is done and numerical results are verified using experimental data obtained in an experimental analysis in Tarbiat Modares University of Tehran. Secondly, numerical simulation is done without considering sediment phase. At the end of this paper, secondary current vectors and longitudinal velocity contours in different sections of both channels are compared.
