Abstract: Water ecosystems are impacted by various physical and chemical stressors that affect ecosystem functions. Contaminations which persist in environment for a long time may cause harmful effects to aquatic biota even at a very low concentration in water. Observation of bivalves behavioral changes are often used in water quality monitoring, but experimental studies assuming continuous monitoring of bivalves behaviors, which encompassing the stressors like inorganic substances, heavy metals, pesticides are seldom found. Due to the important role of macroinvertebrates in aquatic ecosystems there is a need to study impact of multiple stressors to evaluate their sensitivity.
