3D Numerical Simulation of Level Ice-Structure Interaction

Abstract: This paper presents the development of a 3D numerical simulation model for level icestructure interaction. The finite-difference methodology of Wilkins is used. Different failure criteria (Coulomb-Mohr, Drucker-Prager and Schulson) are considered. The analysis shows the excellence of the Schulson criterion. The results of the numerical experiments are discussed.
