Abstract: This paper shows preliminary results in the analysis of wave climate offshore the Sardinia Island in the Western Mediterranean Sea. Specifically, the paper examines the representation of monthly mean and maximum wave height dataset developed within the European Space Agency Climate Change Initiative for Sea State spanning 1996 – 2018. The aim is the statistical trend detection and analysis of future wave energy spatial distribution along the Sardinian beaches.
