Abstract: Climate change is a common problem in human society. China’s energy consumption and CO2 emissions have ranked first in the world since 2008, and its share of the world’s energy consumption and CO2 emissions in 2020 were 26.1% and 30.9%, respectively, both record highs. The Chinese government promises to peak CO2 emissions by 2030 and strives to achieve carbon neutralization by 2060, according to the announcement at the 75th United Nations General Assembly on September 22, 2020. This event marks the beginning of the climate economy in China, which poses great opportunities and challenges for the upcoming green revolution.
