Abstract: The computational model on driftwood motions coupled with a three-dimensional flow model was developed. The collisions of two or more pieces of driftwood are considered with DEM (distinct element method) approach. The model was applied to the flow with obstacles, and results of the computations with and without effects of collisions of driftwood are compared each other.
