We are delighted to share groundbreaking news – IAHR has been officially admitted as an observer to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

As an observer, IAHR is poised to actively participate and contribute to the crucial initiatives of the UNFCCC!

As the only global water association focussed on research, innovation, and engineering across all sectors of the entire water cycle, IAHR seeks to grow the collective knowledge, influence and capacity of the sector to achieve holistic water outcomes.

IAHR seeks to be the global hub of water innovation and engineering for holistic outcomes across the entire water cycle. In particular, IAHR fosters expert communities, knowledge, action and synergy on:

  • Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation

  • Energy Transition, Food Security and Nature

  • Resilience Against Hazards and Disasters

  • Digital Transformation

IAHR engages today’s experts and helps prepare the next generation to respond to the future challenges.

As we embark on this new chapter, IAHR expresses gratitude for your continued support. Together, we look forward to contributing to sustainable solutions and advancing hydro-environment engineering on a global scale.

Thank you for being part of IAHR's journey towards a resilient and sustainable future.
