Working Group on Drones in Hydraulics

The working group was created in 2020 under the auspices of the IAHR Technical Commitee on Experimental Methods and Instrumentation

Working Group on Drones in Hydraulics

The application of drones to the hydro-environment engineering domain is growing very rapidly. IAHR organised a very well attended seminar on this topic in June 2015 in Spain and in February 2019 we held in Madrid the 2nd HydroSenSoft - International Symposium and Exhibition on Hydro-Environment Sensors and Software where a special session on drones was organized. Working Group on drones was an idea that emerged in relation to HydroSenSoft 2019 Symposium during which some plans and actions for further development were discussed.

Special Issue of Hydrolink magazine entirely dedicated to drones (Issue 1, 2019) was also published in relation to HydroSenSoft 2019.

If you are working with (or are interested in) drones (and in general ROVs) and would like to participate in this Working Group's future activities, we would be grateful if you could contact us at iahr@iahr.org
