The International Journal of River Basin Management is an international and cross-disciplinary Journal that brings together research dedicated to all aspects of integrated river and floodplain management including catchments, wetlands and estuarine systems.
To further assist the Journal development and assist the actual Editorial Board, we are seeking new Associate Editors (AEs) with expertise in the following areas:
Below is some key information about the terms and responsibilities for the role AE:
AE appointment is for 2 years, renewable under mutual agreement
Solicit the submission of high-quality contributions to the journal, commissioning papers and contributing with innovative manuscripts
Handle the independent peer review and make publication recommendations
Promote the journal through academic networks
Participate in discussions involving journal policies and wider journal strategy
Generally, candidates should be renowned scientists in the respective area/s (early career scholars may be considered in exceptional cases) and have a record of academic excellence corresponding to their academic career level.
AEs should also reflect diversity in terms of their interest areas, gender, ethnicity, national origin, and career stage.
Please outline any experience that you have to support your interest, including but not limited to academic background, previous editorial experience, history with the journal and future vision for the journal.
