Statement
Dear IAHR Young Professionals,
I am writing to express my enthusiastic interest in being part of the new IAHR Council for the term 2023-2025. As a dedicated member of the International Association for Hydro- Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR) and a passionate advocate for the field, I am eager to contribute my skills, experience, and energy to the continued growth and success of our organization.
My journey in the field of hydro-environment engineering and research began during my academic years, where I developed a profound fascination for the intricate relationship between water and the environment. Since then, I have actively engaged in various research projects, attended numerous conferences, and collaborated with experts in the field. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the challenges and opportunities within hydro-environment engineering and research, and I am eager to channel this knowledge into meaningful contributions as part of the IAHR Council.
Here are some of the reasons I believe I would be an asset to the IAHR Council:
Leadership experience: At this moment, I am the president of IAHR Brazil Young Professionals, and I’ll hope to contribute to development group of research in Latin America.
Commitment to Young Professionals: As a young professional myself, I understand the unique challenges and opportunities we face. I am eager to champion the interests of IAHR's young professionals, providing them with the support, mentorship, and opportunities needed to thrive in our field.
Innovation: I am committed to helping IAHR embrace emerging technologies and approaches to better serve our members and advance our mission.
I am excited about the prospect of working collaboratively with fellow council members to shape the future of IAHR and drive meaningful change. Together, we can continue to build a vibrant and inclusive community that advances hydro-environment engineering and research worldwide.
