We are delighted to invite you to the 16th International Conference on Hydroinformatics, taking place in Zaragoza, Spain, from June 22 to 26, 2026. As digital transformation is present in all fields, and of course, also in water management, this conference will bring together global experts to explore how AI, cloud computing, data-driven strategies, and smart water technologies can drive a more sustainable and resilient future.
In particular, with topics covering innovative water technologies, urban water digitalization, climate resilience, eco-coastal hydroinformatics, and water-energy-food synergy, Hydroinformatics 2026 will be a hub for cutting-edge discussions, collaboration, and real-world solutions.
Join us in Zaragoza and be part of the future of Hydroinformatics. We look forward to welcoming you!
We are pleased to announce that the call for special sessions.The programme will include special sessions on new or emerging topics related to Hydroinformatics. Each special session will consist of 5-6 oral presentations. The special session proposal should contain the following information:
A title for the special session, the names and contact information of the organisers;
A brief description of the session (up to one page);
Brief biographies of the session organizer(s) and their contact details;
5-6 tentative papers with title, authors and short abstract.
Proponents of special sessions are invited to submit their proposals in pdf attached to an email to the address secretary@hic2026.org, with the Subject line: ‘Special Session Proposal’.
Special session proposals will be evaluated immediately upon submission based on the timeliness of the topic, its uniqueness, and qualifications of the proposers.
Accepted special sessions will be listed on the HIC 2026 website. To avoid multiple special sessions covering similar topics, it is likely that an accepted proposal will be combined with similar proposals.
Organisers should not contribute more than one paper for the special session.
