IAHR, in collaboration with China Three Gorges University (CTGU), has announced a new course of the IAHR Training Courses Series: the "Advanced Hydraulic Engineering" program. Scheduled for 10–23 August 2025, this hybrid course offers both in-person (Hubei,China) and online participation options to provide advanced knowledge and practical experience in hydraulic engineering.
Participants attending in person will benefit from lectures and field visits to significant water conservancy projects, including the Three Gorges Dam and Gezhouba Dam. The online format will feature live-streamed lectures by leading experts, ensuring global accessibility. Recordings will also be available on demand, and the registration deadline for on-site attendees is May 15, 2025.
The course is designed for students and professionals in civil and hydraulic engineering seeking to deepen their expertise. It combines theoretical instruction with practical insights from large-scale engineering projects, reflecting IAHR's commitment to bridging knowledge and practice in water engineering.
This initiative is part of IAHR's broader effort to support engineers, young professionals, and practitioners worldwide through capacity building and knowledge exchange. The IAHR Training Courses Series addresses the needs of its members and the wider water sector community.
