IAHR Coastlab26 to Be Held in Chennai on 23–27 February 2026: Call for Abstracts Open until August 10th!

The upcoming edition of IAHR Coastlab26 will take place in Chennai, India, from 23 to 27 February 2026. The call for abstracts has been extended, due to multiple requests, until August 10th, 2025

Following abstract acceptance, authors will have the option to submit a short paper (4 pages) or a full paper, which will be published in the Scopus-indexed proceedings by Springer. Keynote speakers have also been announced, promising valuable insights into cutting-edge developments in coastal and hydraulic engineering.

Set in the vibrant metropolitan city of Chennai, the conference offers an excellent opportunity to engage with leading experts while exploring exciting coastal engineering projects.

 Conference Sessions/Themes

CoastLab26 will provide a stimulating and enriching forum to discuss the latest developments in physical modelling applied to coastal and port engineering and coastal science. Papers that describe new research, technical innovation, and interesting real-world case studies and projects are encouraged. The conference topics may include, but not limited to:

  • Hydrodynamics and Morphodynamics

  • Laboratory Technologies

  • Port and Coastal Engineering

  • Renewable Energy

  • Comparative Study Session

  • Acceptance for full paper/short paper: November 15th, 2025

  • Preliminary programme: January 25th, 2026
