IAHR awards the sixth IAHR Label for Water Training and Education

The IAHR Label for Water Training and Education is awarded jointly by IAHR and UNESCO under the Intergovernmental Hydrological Program (IHP) to institutions promoting and implementing excellence in training and education programs for competent and skillful professionals in the water sector. This distinction highlights the commitment of IAHR and UNESCO-IPH to educational excellence, fostering innovative and sustainable solutions to address global water challenges.

IAHR is pleased to annouce that it awards the sixth IAHR Label for Water Training and Education to the Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute,China for the following:

• Ph.D. Program in Hydraulic Engineering of Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute of The Ministry of Water Resources, Ministry of Transport and National Energy Administration.

The doctoral programme in Hydraulic Engineering at Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute (NHRI) focuses on advancing knowledge and research in seven major axes: Hydrology and Water Resources, Hydraulics and River Dynamics, Hydraulic Structure Engineering, Water Resources and Hydropower Engineering, Ports, Coastal, and Offshore Engineering, Smart. Its aim is to develop researchers equipped to address complex sustainable water management issues, in line with national and international needs.

NHRI was established in 1935 and is recognized as a major contributor to hydraulic expertise, knowledge development and project development in China and at the international level. NHRI is developing activities for the last 90 years. World class research facilities and highly qualified training team provide a very relevant environment to the PhD candidates
