From October 7–9, 2025, the city of Atlanta, Georgia (USA) will host the 4th International Workshop on Labyrinth and Piano Key Weirs (PKW) at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center. This globally recognized event will bring together engineers, researchers, designers, and students to share the latest advances, applications, and case studies on labyrinth and piano key weirs.
About the program
During two days of technical sessions (October 7–8), participants will explore:
Research and development in hydraulics, sedimentation, and modeling.
International case studies and lessons learned.
Design and construction of PKWs and labyrinth spillways.
Networking opportunities with colleagues from around the world.
On October 9, attendees will take part in a guided technical tour of innovative dam and spillway projects across Georgia and Alabama, including Lake Peachtree Dam, Ogletree Outing Club Lake, and Bartlett’s Ferry, with additional opportunities for informal networking.
