Welcome Message

Dear Colleague,

We are very pleased to invite you to the 25th Congress of the International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research – Asia and Pacific Division (IAHR-APD). The congress will be held in Incheon, Korea, from July 19 (Sun) to 22 (Wed), 2026.

Climate change is significantly impacting water environments, increasing the frequency and severity of disasters like floods, droughts, and extreme rainfall. Events such as Typhoon Hinnamnor in 2022 highlight these growing risks, especially in the Asia-Pacific region. Climate change also affects aquatic ecosystems, vegetation, and weather patterns. At the same time, advances in artificial intelligence (AI) are opening new possibilities for addressing these challenges. In the hydro-environment sector, AI is being actively explored to develop innovative solutions.

The 25th IAHR-APD Congress will serve as a platform to share research and insights on climate change and AI, particularly in the Asia-Pacific. Hosted by the Korea Water Resources Association and other Korean organizations, the congress aims to foster collaboration and inspire future research.

Sincerely,

Prof. Sung-Uk Choi
Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee
The 25th Congress of IAHR-APD
