The Technical Committee on Fluid Mechanics is pleased to announce an open call for candidates to fill two (2) positions in its Leadership Team (LT). This call is conducted in accordance with the IAHR by-laws.
The TCFM is focused on fundamental and applied environmental fluid mechanics in support of hydraulic research and wide-ranging applications. Its mission is to foster international activities and collaborations on the fundamentals of transport and mixing phenomena in turbulent flows such as contaminant transport processes in rivers, lakes and coastal regions, anthropogenic influences (e.g., heat, dissolved and suspended organic/inorganic material), sediment dynamics, ecohydrodynamics and other areas of environmental fluid mechanics.
New TCFM members will be responsible for developing new initiatives and strengthening existing ones, in line with the TCFM's strategic vision and activities. Candidates are invited to express their motivation to actively participate in various current initiatives and/or propose and lead new projects within the 2025-2029 period.

c. Short description: One or two paragraphs stating how the proposed activity aligns with TCFM’s and IAHR's strategic plan.
d. Resources and timeline: Identification of resources needed (e.g., collaboration with colleagues, financial resources, facilities) and a proposed timeline. Please note that financial resources will likely not be covered by IAHR.
