Overview

The International Journal of River Basin Management is glad to present you its new Issue 4, Volume 23. This Issue counts 12 research articles and a book review. As usual, articles cover a wide range of river management-related problems, spanning from basic research on the impact of river ice on the environment to how climate change is influencing water resources in Africa, to more applied investigations on, for example, alternatives to improve drinking water supply in less developed regions.
The research presented in this issue demonstrates that addressing issues on river management requires a very interdisciplinary approach, combining experts from various fields like engineering, geography, water advocacy and social sciences.
We invite everyone to read this Issue and the past ones, as you will discover different points of view, stimulating your thinking about integrated river basin management. At the same time, you are very much welcome to contribute to the Journal with your research, also by considering the undergoing Article Collections.
