Dear Friends and Colleagues,
The news about the pandemic continues to evolve, revealing that it will not be possible to deliver a successful face-to-face IAHR World Congress in the coming months. Some of the most important events around the world have been cancelled or postponed this year, with no certainty that they will be held in 2021.
As the organisers of the 39th IAHR World Congress have always aimed to deliver an exceptional congress that also ensures everyone's health and safety, we have been working diligently during previous weeks to explore the most appropriate options and take decisions in order to guarantee that the hard work of every participant, contributor, and partner is not impacted by this pandemic.
We would like to inform you that the organising committees of the congress, together with the IAHR, have taken the decision to postpone the congress to the year 2022. This decision only reinforces our commitment to making the 39th IAHR World Congress 'From Snow to Sea' a rewarding and groundbreaking event.
The new congress dates, as well as the updated deadlines, will be published on the congress website by 15 November 2020. The congress will take place at the same venue in Granada, Spain.
The IAHR World Congress is your meeting. The community depends on your active participation in sharing your research, your insights and your expertise. The Congress will be worth the wait!
The organising committees thank co-organisers, sponsors, supporting organisations, and contributors for your support towards the congress so far, and express our sincere apologies towards the Inconvenience caused under these unforeseen circumstances. The Congress Secretariat will be in touch with all stakeholders involved for proper follow up arrangements.
We will continue to provide updates on the event website and to all our faculty, industry partners and participants. In the meantime, thank you again for your understanding and support, and wish you, your colleagues and families good health and resilience.
