Overview
PRONOE is an internationally-awarded (MIT, XPrize, Frontier) CO2 removal company on a mission to restore the ocean’s natural capacity to capture and permanently store CO2 from the air, in a sustainable, scalable and infrastructure-light manner. They design and deploy automated water treatment systems that seamlessly integrate downstream of the operations of coastal industrial sites. By making return flows to the sea less acidic, more alkaline and monitoring our activities, they deliver high-quality CO2 removal certificates, valorize otherwise wasted flows for their partners, and mitigate coastal acidification.
In the context of European and International grant applications, PRONOE is actively looking for private entities or research institutes - with an emphasis on the ones members of the Technical Committee on Outfalls Systems - to collaborate with on a few workstreams:
Modelling of 'generic' ocean outfalls to evaluate the hydrodynamic and physicochemical impacts, if any, of their proprietary alkalinity enhancement approach;
Site-specific modelling of ocean outfalls;
Global mapping and inventory of ocean outfalls locations and associated volumes to the sea
