Dr Ajmal Hussain is currently Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at AMU Aligarh. Earlier he was Assistant Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering at Delhi Technological University, New Delhi, INDIA. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Faculty of Engineering and Technology, AMU, Aligarh in the year 2008. Dr Hussain earned Master's Degree (2010) and PhD (2014) in Hydraulics from Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Roorkee, India. He has more than 10 years of teaching, research and educational experience. His major areas of research interest include Hydraulic structures, Fluvial Hydraulics, application of soft computing in water resources engineering, and urban flood. He has taught Hydrology, Open Channel flow, Flow through porous media and Fluvial Hydraulics. He is life member of Institution of Engineers (IE.) and Indian society of hydraulics (ISH). He has authored numerous technical papers in various National, International journals/ Conferences. He is also involved in various consultancy and research projects.
